Who We Are

The MenoRites Collective is a nonprofit organization dedicated to transforming conversations about menopause for women of color by embracing it as a powerful rite of passage into wisdom, confidence, and vitality. Our story began as heartfelt discussions among mothers, daughters, aunts, and nieces that illuminated a critical gap in menopause education and support in our families and for our communities. The elder women in our family realized that menopause wasn’t something they needed to suffer through and were determined to share the insights they’ve gained with younger generations. Rooted in a rich family legacy of entrepreneurship and trailblazing the legacy of women of color in construction, we are uplifting our shared experiences as professionals, caregivers, and advocates, to amplify the collective wisdom of women across generations. By fostering intergenerational dialogue and mutual support, we aim to inspire empowerment, health, and connection for women navigating this natural yet often misunderstood component of life. Our goal is to restore the celebration of menopause as a cherished rite of passage, marking the transition into a life of greater vitality, wisdom, and fulfillment.
